Stakeholder Engagement

AskYourTeam is a New Zealand-based technology company that empowers organisations to harness the power of their people. Their platform provides data-driven insights to foster a culture of engagement, transparency, and continuous improvement. By listening to the voices of employees and stakeholders, AskYourTeam helps organisations make informed decisions that drive positive change.

I was tasked with revitalising AskYourTeam’s brand signature and messaging to create a more human-centred and engaging brand.

To achieve this, I updated the visual identity to better reflect the brand’s personality. As a SaaS based product, it was really important to them that people were at the heart of all they did.

I developed a compelling brand story that emphasised the human impact of AskYourTeam’s solutions. I helped craft more evocative messaging that resonated with the target audience of HR professionals, executives, and employees.

Finally, I designed a range of marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, and website content, to effectively communicate the brand’s value proposition.

As a result, a more coherent design system was put in place, they finally had clearer propositions to work with and storytelling that had a better sense of people being at the heart of all they did.

The new brand platform, framework and messaging have helped to increase their brand awareness, attract new customers, and drive business growth.

The logo was already strong, but we simplified the colour palette and the way it was used.
Key stationery items were turned into storytelling opportunities.
The AskYourTeam platform does a lot of things. But it comes down to one thing; wellbeing.
Simon Shaw created as series of illustrations that spoke of teams working in unison for the greater good. Each had an amplifying factor that spoke to performance.
Checking your pulse is literally seeing how the team are doing.
The shadow of a rocket thrown from a 'triplet'.
The illustrations were used in the top layer of the collateral system.
The future of what they are planting is seen in the shadow of the sapling.
When you feel like you belong to a team, you are more likely to contribute and work towards shared success.
An ocean liner is reflected in the rowboat – a reference to the increase in power from everyone working together.
When you start building together there may be a vision of where you need to go, and the start of that journey may be humble.
Layouts were kept simple and content 'bite-sized'.
When AskYourTeam turned up to conferences and exhibitions they stood out.
A series of product or sector specific designs for the collateral system were created.

We took a metaphorical approach to how we used images.
We curated a series of images that were as far away from stock shots as possible. There had to be a very human feel to the stories within them.
Images became a way of bringing emotion into what can be quite dry subject matter

AskYourTeam people quickly got on board with the metaphorical storytelling. Their products and the way they are sold now have a very human feel.
